Cyber security can be defined as “the state of being protected against the criminal or unauthorized use of electronic data, or the measures taken to achieve this”1. 

The prevalence of cyber security in federal government agencies continues to grow each day. Most agencies keep all information stored in data centers, software, and cloud devices, and are in the market for hiring professionals that can help keep those devices protected from hackers and viruses so that their information is secure.

Applied Development’s past performance shows that we have the experience and capabilities in cyber security to provide agencies with certified professionals that will help manage and supervise the safety of their data. Applied Development was the subcontractor on a Cyber security Assessment project for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (METRO). We provided a team of consultants that evaluated METRO’s key Cyber security posture and developed actions to be taken for future audits.

Our team of professionals created a risk model that helped identify, assess, and prioritize some of the risks that faced METRO. Once the risks were identified and listed, our team proposed mitigation strategies and recommended action plans for these risks. Applied Development played a vital role in keeping information secure and protected from potential hackers that could gain access to vital information such as credit card information or the control system to the trains. A big responsibility was placed on our team to keep this valuable and confidential information safe and secure.
